Make sure your Video plays everywhere... across the globe!
Standards Conversion of the following formats:
Digital BetaCam 1" Video BetaCam SP 3/4" SP Video 3/4" Video BetaCam VHS Hi-8 Mini-DV DV-Cam/DVC Pro D2
All three of these standards (NTSC, PAL and SECAM) have different frame rates and display settings, and therefore can't be played or broadcast on equipment designed for another standard. Dub-It offers a conversion service to transfer your video master to and from any of these standards.
Video playback technologies are not uniform throughout the world. There are three primary standards in which video content can originate: NTSC; PAL; or SECAM. The standard is typically determined by the regional origin of the video master. Countries in North America, Central America and parts of South America, as well as Japan and other Asian countries, typically use the NTSC standard. European countries tend to use the PAL standard, with the notable exception of France, which developed the SECAM standard. (See our International Television Standards List for a region-by-region breakdown of formats.)
Our International Television Standards List demonstrates the wide variation in television standards around the world. Standards, not to mention political boundaries, change frequently and make it difficult to keep our list 100% accurate. It is best to check directly with your contact in the country in question to confirm its current television standard.
