Because DVD-9s are dual-layer discs, DVD-9 mastering requires 2 DLTs (one for each layer). DVD discs cannot be used to create DVD-9 glass masters and stampers. Apple's DVD Studio Pro™ can write a DVD-9 DLT set. If you've used Apple's DVD Studio Pro™, and can provide us with the assets and session file for your DVD-9 project, DVD-IT will write the DLT master set (which requires two DLTs- one for each layer) onto the 2 DLTs needed to create your glass master & stamper.
Dub-It Spec Requirements:
1. The project must be completely authored in DVD Studio Pro™ 3, 2 or 1.5
2. All necessary assets must be provided along with the DVD Studio Pro™
session file, all properly linked to appropriate folders.
3. All files can be provided on a firewire hard drive or on DVD-R, if
it will fit. Client pays for round-trip shipping of their hard drive
4. Price includes setting up CSS or Macrovision, or both. Both CSS and Macrovision will require additional costs to create glass master and stamper.
